These terms govern your use of Ninja Messenger (the “App”) and related services. By downloading or using the App, you agree to them.
1. The service
Ninja Messenger is a private, peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted messaging application. Core messaging is provided free of charge. Optional paid features (a permanent name, Ninja Pro capabilities, VPN passes, and relay licenses) are offered as described on our pricing page.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase. Because we hold no account for you, we cannot recover or reset access on your behalf. Loss of your recovery phrase may mean permanent loss of your identity.
- You agree to use the App lawfully and not to use it to harm others, distribute unlawful content, or infringe the rights of third parties.
- You are responsible for compliance with the laws applicable to you, including any local restrictions on encrypted communications.
3. Purchases and licenses
Paid features are unlocked by a one-time purchase or, for VPN passes, a prepaid time-limited pass with no auto-renewal and no stored card. Founding tiers are limited in quantity and grant the features described at the time of purchase. Prices and availability may change for future purchasers but do not retroactively affect features you have already unlocked.
4. Refunds
Refund eligibility is handled in accordance with the policies of the applicable app store or payment provider and any mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
5. Availability
The App and relay services are provided on an “as available” basis. Peer-to-peer delivery depends on network conditions outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted message delivery and are not a substitute for emergency communication services.
6. Intellectual property
The Ninja Messenger name, brand, and application are owned by us. These terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks. Open-source components, where used, remain under their respective licenses.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access to paid server-side services (such as relay or VPN) in cases of unlawful use or non-payment.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the “last updated” date reflects the current version.
